This is what happens when a little bit of air gets under a racecar moving at over 220mph. IZOD Indycar Series driver Mike Conway went for a ride on the last lap of the 94th running of The Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. A spectacular but scary ending to the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. Conway will be out for the next 2 months with a broken foot and back. In the words of the lovely, Danica Patrick, “It’s never good to see cars flipping in the air.”

Overall, Indy was a great race, as usual. Perfect weather brought out all the stars like Jack Nicholson, The Kardashians, David Letterman, and Ashley Judd. Ashley Judd had a great day because her husband Dario Franchitti won the race. The “Flying Scotsman” won the race with one of the most dominating performances that I have ever seen at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Dario led the majority of the race with a solid lead from the rest of the field for the majority of the race.Is it me or is Ashley Judd one of the most dramatic women on earth? I guess she is actrees. Her antics in the Victory Lane were priceless.

My other star of the day was Tony Kanaan who started 33 (DEAD LAST) and worked his way all the way up to 2nd place before finishing 11th. On the first lap, on cold tires, Kanaan passed about 6 cars in a fourth of a lap before the yellow flag came out. I can’t find the video clip yet but it’s impressive. Post it if you can find it. If that yellow wouldn’t have come out, my man my have passed up half the field in one lap. Kanaan was driving like he was in a stolen vehicle. Great race!
