Looks like [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lou Reed [/lastfm]has done a 180. Earlier this year, he reportedly refused permission to[lastfm link_type="artist_info"] Susan Boyle [/lastfm]to sing his song “Perfect Day” on America’s Got Talent. Susan recently recorded the song for her new album, The Gift, and the video was co-directed by — believe it or not — Reed.

Reed tells Britain’s Sunday Mail, “I wanted to create a beautiful and intimate piece shot in Susan’s native Scotland, and she quickly agreed.” Susan adds, “I loved that Lou understood how much it meant to me to film in Scotland. I didn’t mind how much it rained or blew a gale — I enjoyed every minute.”
