What’s the deal with Sidney Crosby? He hasn’t played a game since January 5th and the Pittsburgh Penguins are somehow still in 4th place in the NHL’s Eastern Conference. Sid is still suffering from post concussion symptoms and there is still no timetable for his return.

After suffering a concussion 3 months ago, Sidney Crosby has been out of the Penguins’ lineup. There are now rumors that Sidney Crosby’s family is trying to convince him to retire in fear that he might further injure himself. The rumor was started by a radio host in Toronto who claims he heard this was true. Maybe his family has tried to talk him into it, I’m sure his mother isn’t a fan of him still trying to play. Regardless of what his family thinks, he’s not going anywhere. Sidney is just too young to retire, there is so much more money for him to make. Let’s be honest, its going to be about the money. Sid already has all the awards (Stanley Cup, Gold Medal, MVP.) Reebok will cut this guy checks until he dies if he stays healthy. Sid will be back, he is just struggling right now. Plus we need more Sid vs. Ovi battles for our entertainment.
