After canceling my trip to England for the summer of 1978 I got to rock a great year of concerts but on of the best the year before I left for Ohio State was The World Series of Rock August 26, 1978.

[photogallerylink id=41343 align=left] [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Fleetwood Mac[/lastfm] headlined. The bill also included [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bob Welch[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Eddie Money[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Cars[/lastfm]. [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Todd Rundgren[/lastfm] was the second act to play (at 4:30 PM) so that he could catch a plane to Chicago for that night’s performances at Park West.

This show was originally scheduled for August 5, but had to be rescheduled due to Lindsey Buckingham being ill. Todd had not been scheduled to play on the original date but was added to the bill after the J. Geils Band could not make the rescheduled date.

Canada not to be out done held the first Canada Jam the same day.
