What a weekend for[lastfm link_type="artist_info"] Sting[/lastfm]. He turned 60 on Sunday, and the night before, took part in an all-star benefit concert for the Robin Hood Foundation, to help fight poverty. Of course there were some musical highlights.
Many of his friends like Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, and Lady Gagawere in attendance to wish him a happy birthday and join him onstage.
Many more celebrities were in the audience like Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, Jake Gyllenhaal, Darren Aronofsky, and Melanie Griffith. 32 members of Britain’s Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, who have all completed missions in Afghanistan, were also present.
