The Jerry Shirley Interview[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jerry Shirley[/lastfm], drummer of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Humble Pie[/lastfm], and ex-WNCX jock, wrote a great new book on his life in rock during the 70′s. We talk about that book, Best Seat in the House, and with the unfortunate events that lead to his dismissal from WNCX, along with the story of his battle with alcohol, and what he’s been doing since he left Cleveland.

We start off talking about the book, and the amazing experience that the 70′s music scene was up close.

Thanks for sharing this, and posting a link on Facebook. Jerry was, and still is, good for Cleveland, as we are a forgiving community that still helps our neighbors and friends,

Thanks to NCX and Jerry Shirley for this interview! I had the pleasure of meeting Jerry at the 30 days in the hole trailer, a really down to earth guy, who did a lot of good for the Cleveland area with that fundraiser. Thanks for the many years of great radio!

  • Mr Antonio D’Silva.

Dear Mr Louis, just heard your Jerry Shirley interview. I’m in Lincolnshire, England. I am 55 years old and am a big Humble Pie Fan. Due to reading Mr Shirley’s book I’m now writing to you. I am originally from Stepney, East London ( where Kenney Jones is from ) . I am a H.M. Forces Veteran. As a young lad, whilst in the Army ( mid 70′s ) I always had H.Pie’s – Fillmore tape with me and, I was in some hairy situations but, the music always helped me through such tough times. Now I know where you are Mr Louis, I will try to listen to your show over the net. Thanks for a really good interview piece! Best wishes, Tony D’Silva.
