While it has no title or release date, the new [mp3com-artist]Bruce Springsteen [/mp3com-artist]album is sure to be in-your-face once it hits the streets. Business insiders told The Hollywood Reporter that the project is “The angriest he’s ever made.”
[photogallerylink id=69544 align=left] Whats got him so steamed? Apparently economic injustice is top on the list. The album, to be released on Columbia Records, will feature some new sounds for Springsteen; including hip hop influences, Irish folk, electronic percussion and more. It is expected the album will be released in conjunction with Springsteen’s March tour, which kicks off in Denver on the 2nd. It will be The Boss’s 24th album and is being produced by Ron Aniello.
Bruce had a busy weekend, making a surprise appearance at the Light of Day benefit concert for Parkinson’s Disease in Asbury Park, New Jersey on Saturday. For only the 2nd time in his career, The Boss played an acoustic solo version of “Incident on 57th Street.” It is also believed that Bruce was shooting a new video in Asbury Park last Friday. Sources tell the Hollywood Reporter, “He filmed at Johnny Mac House of Spirits, the Irish Pub on Main Street, and then he went down Mattison Avenue and into the old Savoy Theater.”
