TWINSBURG, OH – The council has offically given the green light to add a major concert to the Rock The Park Lineup – Michael Stanley. Michael Stanley and the Resonators will perform Sept. 29. at The Perici Ampitheater at Glenn Chamberlin Park.
With a 6-0 vote by council, the concert will be underway with a 45,000 budget to put on the show.
“I think it is very exciting to have Michael Stanley putting on a show in Twinsburg,” said Councilor Seth Rodin to The Twinsburg Bulletin. “We are fortunate to have that great amphitheater in the city. It’s like having a mini Blossom in our back yard.”
Parks and Recreation Director Derek Schroeder said he expects to make at least a $15,000 profit through ticket and alcohol sales, as well as corporate sponsorships.
With the $45,000 cost, the Michael Stanley concert tickets will be more pricey than ususal. The average ticket for Rock The Park costs $10, the Michael Stanley tickets will cost about $25.
Schroeder said tickets will go on sale in August and can be purchased at www.rocktheparkconcert.com.
