History of The Eagles, a three-hour documentary about the band, will have its broadcast debut on Showtime next month. The cable channel will show it in two parts, starting on February 15th and 16th. The first two-hour part was screened at the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend.

The film incorporates new interviews with all the current and former members of the band — as well as such friends as Jackson Browne and Linda Ronstadt. It was directed by Alison Ellwood, a veteran film editor who directed a 2011 documentary about psychedelic prankster Ken Kesey.
