Prog-rock pioneers Yes will release Yes: The Studio Albums 1969-1987 on Christmas Eve (December 24) through Rhino Records.

The collection features the band’s first 12 albums over a course of 13 CDs, including The Yes Album, Fragile, Close to the Edge, Relayer, Going for the One and the double album Tales from Topographic Oceans, all of which were originally released through Atlantic Records.

Fans can expect to hear some of the band’s most popular tracks, including “Roundabout,” “Leave It,” “Owner of a Lonely Heart” and “Cinema”, the song responsible for the group’s only Grammy Award (it won Best Rock Instrumental Performance in 1985).

Each of the CDs in the boxed set will feature remastered sound and bonus tracks, including edited and extended versions of “Love Will Find a Way,” and three different mixes of “Rhythm of Love.”

Artist Roger Dean, who designed many Yes album covers, created a special illustration for the boxed set. A fold-out poster of Dean’s work will also be included.

The British band was formed by bassist Chris Squire, singer Jon Anderson and drummer Bill Bruford in 1968. The next year, Yes released the eponymous debut album.

During their 18-year tenure at Atlantic, the band enjoyed considerable success, and established themselves as one of the most influential progressive rock bands in the world.

Recently, Yes was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and for the second year, there is a fan ballot, allowing the public to vote for inductees. At this time, Yes is currently in 4th place with almost 100,000 votes. The fan ballot will remain active until December 10th. According to RockHall.com, “The top five artists, as selected by the public, will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the 2014 inductees, who will be announced soon.”

Yes: The Studio Albums 1969-1987 will be available digitally and in-stores for $74.98.
