Ann Wilson To Sing National Anthem Before NFC Championship

Ann Wilson will sing the national anthem at this Sunday’s NFC Championship Game between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks in her hometown of Seattle.

This will not be the first time performing the national anthem, for Wilson. In 2012, she sang the national anthem prior to the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day game against the Washington Redskins.

And, she is not the only “classic rocker” to sing it in recent months.

KISS’ Gene Simmons performed the national anthem before the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings at Wembley Stadium in London in September (See video HERE). Before game 2 of the World Series, James Taylor mistakenly sang “America, The Beautiful” before the baseball game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox. A few seconds after realizing his mistake, he quickly transitioned into the “Star-Spangled Banner” (watch video HERE).
