Oreo Poke Cake

If you are not into really sweet cakes, then this one is for you. It’s pretty easy too.

Ingredients

1 Duncan Hines Box Cake Mix, Chocolate

1 4.2 oz Box of Jello Brand, Oreo Cookies and Cream Instant Pudding & Pie Filling

1 8 oz Container of Cool Whip

I package of Oreo Cookies (You’ll probably use 1 1/2 -2 sleeves of the package, crushed)

2 Cups of Milk

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 350

Grease or Spray a 9 x 13 cake pan

Make cake as directed on box

Just before cake is done, start making pudding. In a medium bowl, add milk to pudding mixture and continue to whisk until most of the lumps are removed.

You want it to thicken slightly so it isn’t overly runny but not fully thickened into pudding.

When cake is done, while still warm, poke holes all over cake (about 1-inch) intervals using a wooden spoon handle.

Pour pudding mixture over warm cake, try and get into as many holes as possible. Then spread remaining pudding evenly over the cake.

Allow the cake to cool for several minutes on a wire rack then put into the fridge to set up. About 2 hours.

Once it is set,  spread cool whip on top of cake and top with crushed Oreo cookies.
