The Cleveland Cavaliers 2016 NBA Championship Parade is scheduled for Wednesday, according to The City of Cleveland.
The parade route will begin at 11 am starting at Quicken Loans Arena on Huron. The route head north to Ontario, turn onto Carneige and head north on East 9th Street. It will end at Mall B on Lakeside Avenue and East 6th Street for a special program featuring players and ownership.
The community victory celebration will feature a 60+ unit parade complete with floats, specialty vehicles, the OSU Marching Band, and of course, the much anticipated appearance of the 2016 NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers.
Arrive early to allow time to find a spot and watch the parade anywhere along the route.
This is a family friendly event and fans are reminded that public consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. It is best to travel light, bring drinking water and sunscreen.
The stage at Malls B is already being assembled by workers as of Tuesday morning.
Cavalier fans near and far are preparing to descend on Downtown Cleveland for the parade. As of now every hotel room in downtown Cleveland is completely booked, according to Cleveland.com.
According to a press release from the Cavs, The Cavaliers Championship Parade and Rally is presented by the Cleveland Clinic, KeyBank, Phantom Fireworks and KIA, and strongly supported by Sherwin-Williams, Medical Mutual, FirstMerit, FirstEnergy and Toyota.
