I’m hoping the weather is clear for July 1, but in Cleveland you never know. I do know that this tour is going to be something special, and I cannot wait.
Hand to heart, when Bono sang the lyrics “If the thunder cloud passes rain, so let it rain…” it started to rain. Not a lot, but just enough. It was a religious experience.
If you have never seen U2 live, I highly recommend it. Along the lines of a Bruce show, or Eagles, no pyro, no crazy stunts, None needed. Just four guys, a few instruments and 40,000 of your closest friends singing along in harmony, feeling that chill up your spine.
Take a look at what’s going on thanks to the creative and artistic minds of this Creative Fusion project. What a wonderful way to create art for all to see (for free!) and help transform Cleveland at the same time. Fantastic idea!
I don’t know why the line “I wish you enough” popped into my head, but I Googled it and came up with a lovely story/verses about a mother wishing her daughter enough, before she began a trip. I like the concept. It’s simple, and easy, and helps reset out perspective.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
Still can’t wrap my head around what’s going on.
That man knew how to make a video. I wanted to be that video.
Who knows what will happen between now and Christmas 2017, but nothing wrong with dreaming and planning.
Ahh, winter. And the holidays. To me, especially this year, a time for my favorite movies. And some of my holiday movie classics in my house follow in no particular order.
Anyway, I digress, these holiday ads. Getting back to the basics to the true meaning of Christmas is what they do best.
Now John Lewis has upped their holiday ante.
Cindy won again tonight! She is amazing!
Packing the bags and going solo to see the Northern Lights. I never had a fascination with them before, but on my vacation I saw an ad in an in-flight magazine for John O’Groats, come see the Northern Lights.
None of her challengers knew of her condition. And if you watch the show, but don’t know the story, you wouldn’t know either. She’s just the quiet, smart young woman on the show that is a powerhouse one day, and a little bit weaker the next, yet keeps pulling out win after win.
Great acting with an all-star cast. I’m an unabashed Richard Curtis fan, and his writing and storytelling is a walk-off home run.
I’m not feeling so great headed into this holiday season with a few personal things going on. After seeing this, my perspective on these things have changed more than a bit.
I thought I was a bit of the lone weirdo that will repeatedly watch the same movie over and over again. And over again.
Holy three-day festivals Batman! Rock On The Range is back for another go round in 2017, and METALLICA is headlining! Hello!
Now John Lewis has upped their holiday ante by turning the subjects of their last few holiday campaigns into window displays in their London store.
I swear I was born in the wrong time. And country.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and don’t forget to give some respect to the turkey.
I wanted to scream at every car driving by, “Look up! It’s an eagle!” But folks were driving to and fro and not worrying about the weird lady creeping through the field on the phone.
This year I’m feeling especially alone, so what should come along at the perfect time, a knock off ad for British merchant John Lewis.
This Friday, November 11, is Veterans Day, and many area businesses are offering a host of special offers for veterans and active military.
The Cedar Lee is showing Supersonic, the new Oasis documentary. If you are a fan of the the band, the era, or music in general, this is one well worth your time.
If you have a small business, or you work for a larger company that might want to up your participation in cause marketing and community projects, Bloodsuckers is something to consider.
And she keeps talking about the money and I told her, you know the money you never wanted to spend on the cruise down the Danube? Well we’re probably going to spend it now.
Hopefully you’re getting an extra day this weekend to relax and have fun and enjoy! Don’t waste it! Lots going on in and around town.
Week two and the TV is still on the Olympics all day and night. Although I did an hour break and watch The Great British Baking Show on PBS.
I enjoy the Olympics. Seems I am watching more and more events this year. The TV is on all day and night, I can’t get enough! But I have some questions. Lots of weird questions.
So now that we are breathing the sign of relief that the RNC went off without a hitch (whew!) and the CLE is high on the list cities on the rise, I’m thinking I’d like to see us more in the spotlight, but perhaps with a few lighthearted events.
That strange instant bond you have with a stranger who you will probably never see again, but instantly get on with for just a few minutes.
I think it is now safe to breathe a sigh of relief. RNC week is over. Media was broadcasting live from Philadelphia on Friday morning (I have to admit that made me sad), so the […]
I have faith in Clevelanders that we can and will handle this. I hope our guests follow your lead. We are hearty, we can handle this. We support the Browns after all.
After visiting Liverpool a few times I’ve sort of adopted it as as my overseas hometown.
They were extremely friendly, not at all afraid to “talk” to passers by, and stick their little paws out for some more action.
I’m still feeling it a week later!
Five years later, I still miss my dad.
And please don’t turn on that map showing where the plane is if you are sitting near me. We’re usually over the water in the middle of nowhere, with no one to find us, probably in that little area when no control tower is watching us, and no parachutes.
I haven’t been to a beach in Ohio since high school drivers ed class. Mr Duffner let us pick a pick a place to drive one summer day. I can’t remember where we ended up, […]
Went to a friend’s house to watch tv! I think the last time I went to a friend’s house to watch tv might have been in high school, and I sort of felt that way. A bit silly, I mean, tv, really? But it was a fantastic night.
I’m going back a few years with this one, but if you haven’t read it, you’re missing out.
And to the daughters and sons who are taking care of your mothers (and fathers), God bless and thank you.
How many times do we say “Oh we can see them on the next tour.” Prince’s sudden passing brings a harsh reality that maybe there isn’t a next time. There are no guarantees in life.
Seriously, if you don’t give the blood there is no Bloodsuckers Buffet. And after last year’s bit of a breakdown in the process, we didn’t know what was going to happen this year.
We are counting down the days to the 18th Annual Bloodsuckers Buffet Blood Drive! It’s going to be a big day. It always is, and it’s getting bigger.
I just felt way too old and achy to be out and about, but not wanting to disappoint my friend, I met her at the Rocksino. Boy am I glad I did!
Uhh, yeah, not in my house. I don’t know why it struck me this morning, what fun things can you do with a leftover Cadbury Egg? Not that I could do any of these. As soon […]
Your cat will thank you when you try out Da Bird. You will not be disappointed!
